Endowment Purpose

Penn State University Park Campus has students from all 50 states and representing 137 nations. 69% of the countries in the world are present here in State College, PA! Unfortunately an estimated 95% of our Penn State campus does not know our Savior, Jesus Christ. With the Navigators ministry presence, we are seeing an exciting movement of the gospel with students coming to faith in Christ and sharing His story with others. We believe the fruit of this movement can plant the seeds of the gospel of Jesus throughout our city, state, country and the world.

Endowment Need 

While our staff each raise their own funding to be on campus, we also raise support for general operating expenses. We currently have an operating budget of approximately $30000 annually. We desire to fund a PSU NAVS endowment that will position us to effectively launch each fall and reach students for Christ for years to come. The endowment goal of $250,000 will secure provision annually for our outreach efforts and cover one third of our annual budget. It will also give us access to corporate matching gifts not otherwise available to us in The Navigators.

Endowment Development

We desire to build the endowment from PSU alumni that have been impacted by The PSU Navigators over the past 50 years. Our prayer is that alumni will consider a $500-1000 gift that will account for a major portion of the endowment, with many of the gifts being matched by employers. And some who have the capacity and desire would consider larger gifts to build the fund. Our goal is to raise the full $250,000 by August 2020 launch of the fall semester.
